Nina will lead participants through Stanley Park, beginning at the grove of ‘Akebono’ cherry blossom trees at the intersection of Chilco Street and Alberni Street. The walk will take about 1.5 hours from the meeting point to the grove of the ‘Shiro-fugen’ north of the Japanese Canadian War Memorial and its sentinel tree ‘Ojochin.’ Participants will also take in a Prunus avium that provides the rootstock for all these cultivar scions and earn some Ornamental Cherry Blossom language!
Please ensure you have read our new registration policy before signing up for each walk. Limited spots available.
